December's finish lines: De Mar a Mar and GastroVino
A three-day race across the peninsula that ends in Todos Santos, and a wine festival that fills the plaza for the volunteer firefighters. Both in early December.

De Mar a Mar
A three-day trail race of about 105 km across the peninsula: from Los Barriles, on the Sea of Cortez, through the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve, to the Pacific at Todos Santos. Runners sleep two nights in the mountains, at San Dionisio and Rancho La Rueda. First run in 2022; the 2025 edition, December 4–7, brought 1,100 runners from at least ten countries. The finish line is in Todos Santos — the place to be on the last afternoon.
GastroVino · Baja Food & Wine Festival
Mexico's winemakers meet the kitchens of Todos Santos. The 2025 edition, December 5–7, opened with a blind tasting at Viñedo Las Tinajas, walked a sixteen-stop GastroTour through the centre and filled the plaza with more than twenty wineries and about twenty kitchens and food trucks from Todos Santos, La Paz, El Triunfo and Los Cabos. Its silent auction supports the volunteer firefighters of Todos Santos and El Pescadero.
Dates for 2026
Both happen in early December; the organisers publish the exact 2026 dates on their own channels, and we add them to About the Community as soon as they do.
El año cierra con dos eventos que no podrían ser más distintos, y que terminan los dos en el centro del pueblo.
De Mar a Mar
Una carrera de montaña de tres días y unos 105 km que cruza la península: de Los Barriles, en el Mar de Cortés, por la Reserva de la Biosfera Sierra de la Laguna, al Pacífico en Todos Santos. Los corredores duermen dos noches en la sierra, en San Dionisio y Rancho La Rueda. Se corrió por primera vez en 2022; la edición 2025, del 4 al 7 de diciembre, reunió a 1,100 corredores de al menos diez países. La meta está en Todos Santos — el lugar para estar la última tarde.
GastroVino · Baja Food & Wine Festival
Los vinicultores de México se encuentran con las cocinas de Todos Santos. La edición 2025, del 5 al 7 de diciembre, abrió con una cata a ciegas en Viñedo Las Tinajas, recorrió un GastroTour de dieciséis paradas por el centro y llenó la plaza con más de veinte vinícolas y una veintena de cocinas y food trucks de Todos Santos, La Paz, El Triunfo y Los Cabos. Su subasta silenciosa apoya a los bomberos voluntarios de Todos Santos y El Pescadero.
